Enjoy a scenic hike through Nuuk's backcountry around the picturesque Fresh Water Lake. A local guide will meet you at the pier and you will depart by bus to the trailhead. While navigating the trail, you'll encounter a few boulders to maneuver around on one side of the lake, but the other side offers a clear path with gently sloping terrain.
Around the halfway point, we'll pause by a charming small waterfall. Guests are invited to sip the pure, refreshing water. Throughout the hike, the local guide will share insights about the diverse flora and fauna found in this serene natural environment, enriching your experience with knowledge about the local ecosystem.
After appoximately 2 hours of hiking you'll return to the pick up point and return to the pier by bus.

Wear comfortable walking shoes and dress in layers. Bring insect repellent; wear sunscreen. Hike's duration can vary a little on group pace but also weather conditions. If there's snow or it's been raining a lot the tour can vary +/- 30 min. Total distance is approximately 2.5 miles (4 km) with approximately 656 feet of elevation gain (200 meters) and approximate steepest inclination at 10%.
