Join the Expedition team ashore to learn about the fishing history of Indian Harbour on the shores of now-uninhabited Mundy Island.
The remnants of Indian Harbour are scattered along the rugged Newfoundland coastline, laying bare the bones of a once-bountiful fishing community populated by hardy souls. From this remote vantage point, the Atlantic Ocean is either an inky sepia print or a brilliant technicolor canvas. Either way, Mundy Island is a window onto the soul of traditional life on the Labrador Coast and its inscrutable, unbreakable connection to the sea and maritime culture.
Please note: Included Expeditions cannot be booked in advance. The ship's Expedition team will communicate finalized content and departure information. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Life jackets are provided and must be worn.
