This tour combines a scenic boat journey with a guided exploration ashore, bringing you the very best of Greenland. Your adventure begins in Qaqortoq, where your guide will meet you and take you to the boat. From there, you’ll take a short 15-minute boat ride out of town to a stunning, remote area. We’ll disembark to explore this natural haven on foot, taking in the remote wilderness together. Your guide will set a comfortable pace and share fascinating insights into Greenland’s unique wildlife and plant life along the way! With their help, you’ll discover the unique and amazing flora that colors the South Greenlandic landscape in the summer. Embrace the silence, breathe in the fresh air, and feel the tranquility of the surroundings.
Back onboard in Greenland’s fjords, you’ll be immersed in breathtaking nature, with the added thrill of sailing among icebergs! If you’re lucky, you might even spot whales, seals, or other Greenlandic wildlife. Our captains are experts at spotting animals and always keep a keen eye out. Your guide, with extensive local knowledge, will accompany you throughout the tour, ensuring plenty of opportunities to ask questions.
Please note: Participants must be in good physical condition with a moderate level of fitness. The hike takes approximately one hour. Wear sturdy non-skid hiking shoes. Terrain includes uneven surfaces, rocks and sand. Dress warmly in layers with a wind- and waterproof outer layer; bring gloves, a scarf and a warm hat. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
