Join the Expedition team for a Zodiac cruise among the Lower Savage Islands. A variety of wildlife comes ashore here in the late summer and early autumn in search of a place to rest after a busy summer of hunting.
The Lower Savage Islands are located in the Arctic Archipelago of Canada's Nunavut province. Bare and unforgiving, they are characterized by a rugged, untouched natural landscape of rocky terrain, Arctic tundra, and icy waters. Collectively, these form a crucial habitat for Arctic wildlife, including seabirds, marine mammals, and land-dwelling species.
The islands' remoteness makes them the perfect subject for ecological research and wildlife observation.
Please note: Included Expeditions cannot be booked in advance. The ship's Expedition team will communicate finalized content and departure information. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
