Remote Rose Island (Sallikuluk), in Labrador's Torngat Mountains National Park, features archaeological sites that span more than 5,000 years of human history. Ashore with the Expedition team, explore this important landscape to see the remains of tent rings and sod houses once occupied by Inuit people. The Expedition team can tell you about a burial cairn that bridges the present to the past, emphasizing the spiritual connection of those who make this region their home to the souls of their ancestors. Spend time in the Zodiacs searching for marine wildlife and observing migratory birdlife.
Please note: Included Expeditions cannot be booked in advance. The ship's Expedition team will communicate finalized content and departure information. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Life jackets are provided and must be worn. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
