Get an introduction to the wonderful Icelandic horse while enjoying the unique landscape of Skagafjordur.
The Icelandic horse is famed for its thick coat and long shaggy mane. It is also known for its sure-footedness, its small but sturdy features, its lovable and mild temperament and the fact they have 5 gaits, the 5th one being very unique for the horse. A purebred descendant of its Viking ancestors – the Icelandic horse is a proud product of isolation, with over a thousand years of breeding.
Embark your vehicle for a transfer from the coastline to the inner part of the fjord. On this tour you will visit the family at Helluland Horse Farm. At Helluland you will get an introduction to the history of the Icelandic horse and some storytelling. Enjoy a riding tour with an expert rider that takes you through scenic and interesting areas of farmland, river and valleys.
After the tour you will have the opportunity to take photos of horses.

Dress according to local weather conditions with good footwear (closed toe recommended) with a rubber or non-slip sole. Riding gear is provided: Helmet, raingear, boots and gloves. Maximum weight is 220 lbs. Minimum age is 8 years
