Kuala Lumpur colloquially referred to as KL, is a federal territory and the capital city of Malaysia. Kuala Lumpur is the cultural, financial and economic center of Malaysia. Your journey begins as you entering into the largest city in Malaysia before arriving at the first destination.
At the Batu Caves, which has three main caves featuring temples and Hindu shrines. The main attraction is the large statue of the Hindu God at the entrance, besides a steep 272 climb up its steps to finally view the stunning skyline of the city center. The 272 steps are pleasant surprise that could only be described as a feast for the eyes after the sombre stairs were transformed into an Instagram-worthy background with a myriad of colors. Monkeys frolic around the caves.
After the visit, you will continue to the National Museum. An excellent introduction to Malaysia’s history, economy, geography, arts, crafts and culture. The building has a sweeping, traditional Minangkabau-style roof and a main entrance flanked by two large murals of Italian glass mosaic that portray the country’s major historical events and cultural activities.
Before proceed for lunch, you will have a quick photo stop at the Independence Square, the former playing field of the Royal Selangor Club, a venue where important events, celebrations and streets parades are held. Within the square you’ll see the Royal Selangor Club, a charming mock-Tudor structure. Another remarkable building is the Sultan Abdul Samad House, which served as the government offices during the British era. Not to be missed is the Cathedral of Saint Mary the Virgin, an Anglican Church in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.
Next stop is the visit to the KL Tower observation deck, this gleaming tower’s spindle-like apex is visible from almost anywhere in Kuala Lumpur. Constructed in 1994, the tower stands at 421 meters and this majestic 1,381-foot-tall tower offers stunning 360-degree views of the entire city. Before transfer back to the port, you will make a photo stop at the double-decked Skybridge of the PETRONAS Twin Towers. Scale 170 meters in an elevator with a futuristic edge. The doors will open at the Skybridge, a connecting structure between the towers and the world's highest 2-storey bridge.
Notes:
Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking, as the walk is uphill over unpaved, uneven, rough walking tracks with many steps (over 270). Wear comfortable closed-toe walking shoes; bring a hat, sunglasses and sunscreen. Travel time to Kuala Lumpur is approximately 1½ hours each way. Ladies are advised not to wear short pants, mini/short skirt & sleeveless top at Batu Caves due to religious purpose. Tour sequence may vary.
