Explore the far south of Martinique on foot.
You'll transfer to the Sainte-Anne district and to the enigmatic and impressive Petrified Savannah area of Martinique Regional Natural Park. Here, you'll encounter an arid, almost desert-like expanse reminiscent of the American Wild West. On a hike designed to satisfy nature, geology and adventure enthusiasts, you'll discover the flora and fauna of the coastal dry forest and the history of the insular volcanism.
Please note: Minimum age is 16 years; maximum age is 75 years. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Guests who are pregnant are not allowed to participate. Participants must be in good physical shape. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. Travel time is approximately 1¼ hours each way.
