Embark on a thrilling adventure from Fort-de-France to the stunning Gorges de la Falaise in Martinique. This aquatic hike starts from the quaint town of Ajoupa-Bouillon and brings you to an exceptional site renowned for its breathtaking waterfalls and natural pools.
You'll descend a stairway to the canyon floor below for a 300-yard aquatic trek along the riverbed. Geologically intriguing, this and similar gorges were sculpted by the erosion of volcanic cliffs along the island's north coast, revealing layers of solidified lava and captivating rock formations along the hiking trail. Your destination is a lovely waterfall with serene spots for swimming in crystal-clear waters.
All around you, discover a rich biodiversity with wild orchids, tree ferns, palm trees, and native species such as hummingbirds. Sample organic dried tropical fruits with a fizzy fruit-infused beverage or a traditional rum punch.
