This tour, made for enthusiastic walkers, is your opportunity to discover the island's capital — Mahón.
Head to the Cloister of del Carmen, built adjacent to the Carmen Church. Deconsecrated in 1835, it subsequently housed a prison, the Courts of justice, and a market. Today, a market still operates on the ground floor.
Continue to the Church of Santa María, built in the 18th century on the site of a 13th-century Gothic church. The current interior is inspired by the neo-Gothic style. The monumental organ here, dating back to 1810, measures about 45 feet tall and 20 feet wide. It boasts four keyboards and 3,006 organ pipes, of which 197 are wooden and the remainder metal.
See the Bridge of San Roque, the remains of the ancient medieval city walls, and Isabel II Street, lined with stately townhouses in the 18th century.
Walk to a tapas restaurant to enjoy a typical Menorcan tasting menu.
