Board a motorcoach and embark on a panoramic drive along the Slovenian coastline and into its hinterland -- an excursion designed to showcase the main highlights of the Istrian Coast.
As you approach the town of Izola, your guide provides a brief history of the region and highlights the impact of some pivotal political decisions made here.
Continue through the largest coastal city of Koper. Turning inland, you'll pass fruit orchards and olive groves en route to a traditional Istrian village. Stroll through the village and visit the church, nestled among traditional houses.
Sample homemade delicacies and seasonal produce used for the creation of traditional recipes.
On the way back to Piran, don't miss the amazing views over the salt fields and the beautiful resort of Portoroz.
In Piran, you will have a small amount of free time to photograph Slovenia's oldest city. A charming and inviting waterfront town, Piran resembles a large open-air museum, complete with a rich cultural heritage and time-warp feel. Narrow streets, compact houses and wide-open squares lend Piran a special ambiance.
