Visit a spectacular museum showcasing culture, history, and architecture in equal parts. A curator will guide you on a very special tour.
Just a 20-minute drive away from the bustling city of Århus is one of the most impressive and modern museums in Denmark. The Moesgaard Museum was awarded three Michelin stars in the Green Guide.
At this spectacular museum, culture and history come to life when scenography, storytelling and extensive research are partnered with this architectural gem located in beautiful surroundings overlooking the forest and sea.
A curator will guide you on a special behind-the-scenes tour of the museum, sharing the fascinating story of how the manor was transformed into a museum. You'll have access to special areas not open to the public. You will also enjoy the magnificent view from the top of the building. The guided tour concludes with a brief introduction to the various exhibits, primarily focused around humankind.
Take time to explore the various exhibitions on your own and visit the Grauballe mand — a bog discovered in 1952, dating back to the Iron Age.
Please note: Tour requires walking and standing. Terrain even and uneven surfaces, steps, navigating behind the official museum rooms among small areas, and narrow corridors. Leave large bags on the ship; no storage is available. Minimum age is 10 years.
