This canal boat cruise, exclusive to Seabourn travelers, takes in many of Copenhagen's highlights from the water.
Embark a covered canal boat and cruise the quaint canals and harbor of Copenhagen. Enjoy a glass of sparkling wine as you view the famous Little Mermaid statue in the harbor.
Cruise towards Christianshavn — a Bohemian inner-city suburb of Copenhagen built by King Christian IV. He modeled it on Amsterdam, so its canal is narrow and filled with boats and canal houses — a favorite place for locals to hang out and relax.
Continue under the Circle Bridge to Slotsholmen — the island of power. It is so named as it is home to Christiansborg Palace, seat of the Danish government. Watch for Holmenskirke and other landmarks. You may also spot the ruins of the Old Stock Exchange building, which caught fire a few years ago and is now undergoing extensive repairs.
Your guide will tell you more about the famous and historical buildings, including the Royal Palace and its garden.
Return to the starting point, just a short walk from the ship.
Please note: Terrain includes 14 steps to access the canal boat. At high tide, some canals may not be accessible due to low bridges; an alternative route will be substituted. Minimum age is 4 years.
