Discover one of Vennesla’s most fascinating landmarks – the Vennesla Timber Slides (tømmerrenna). Built in the 19th century, these remarkable wooden channels stretch for kilometers along the scenic Otra River and once played a key role in Norway’s timber trade.
Today, they offer a unique experience: stroll through lush forests with breathtaking river views while admiring a masterpiece of traditional Norwegian engineering.
Mid-walk, we will enjoy a short pause to taste a delicious sandwich made with local ingredients, wrapped bread from one of the oldest bakeries in Kristiansand, and a
