Experience some of Norway's most iconic scenery on this leisurely hike from Hoven to Skredfjellet. Suitable for all ages, the trail follows a well-maintained gravel path with only a few short, steep sections.
As you move along the mountain ridge, the landscape opens up to sweeping views of deep fjords, towering mountains, and the majestic Jostedalsbreen Glacier. Enjoy breathtaking vistas of the 60-mile-long Nordfjord, the dramatic Sunnmøre
Alps to the north, and the mighty Gjegnen rising in the west. To the east, the historic Skålatårnet stands proudly at 6,000 feet (1848 m), while the glacier-filled Oldedalen Valley unfolds in the south.
After the hike, you'll return to Hoven, where a relaxing coffee break awaits. Take your time to revel in the panoramic views before heading back down the mountain by Skylift at your leisure — the perfect end to a remarkable day in the Norwegian mountains.
Please note: The cable car can close at short notice. Tour operates rain or shine, but may be canceled by the operator in the event of extreme weather or unsuitable conditions. The hike is strenuous — approximately 1¾ hours on sometimes steep terrain. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes or hiking boots. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, steep inclines, gravel, grass, and steps. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf.
