In Nyul Nyul Aboriginal country, your guide Robert will welcome you in the language of his Indigenous country and share his family history, their connection to Beagle Bay, and their involvement in building the local mission. Robert Dann is a Nyul Nyul man — his ancestral tribe hails from the Beagle Bay region and, as a Traditional Owner of the Winawul Country, he is highly regarded and respected in his community.
Visit the Sacred Heart Church, renowned for its beautiful shell-encrusted altar. Learn about the Aboriginal shell carvers who created many intricate shell artworks and the shell mosaic floor.
Explore an old lemonade factory and the surrounding freshwater springs, and learn about some local bush foods and medicine plants.
