Experience the thrill of leaping into ice-cold water from the side door of our expedition ships, from a Zodiac, and feel the sensation so many people say brings remarkable health benefits. Join your fellow intrepid guests in some pre-plunge liquid courage on the deck, before you’re secured in your harness.

Then, enjoy the invigorating jump through sub-zero air into the crystal-cold polar water. After your splashdown, team members help you out of the water and onto the waiting Zodiac. Wrap in toasty towels and a cozy robe and have a warm drink placed in your hand. Afterwards, you can see footage of your adventure in the Discovery Center.

This event transforms the ship’s deck into a world of frozen artistry, with a bar crafted entirely out of glistening ice. Fine Champagnes are chilled in the bar’s custom-molded holders, and an abundance of rare caviars are available for tasting, on toast or on the traditional blini pancakes. Live music sets the tone for this unique onboard celebration, with spectacular polar seascapes creating the stunning visual backdrop.

In our inflatable Zodiac boats, our guests can land on trackless beaches, desert isles, and far-flung icy shores where no docks or other facilities exist. Zodiacs carry us up to towering fjords, past breaching whales and stately icebergs, and into jungle-draped channels bright with nesting birds. They deliver us to untouched coral reefs, bobbing patiently as we snorkel or dive to our heart's content. Our fleet of 24-Zodiacs can all gather beside the water-level shell doors on either side of Seabourn Venture, allowing all guests to enjoy a complimentary tour at once.

Join the Expedition team in the Expedition Lounge for a cozy respite by the fire for a cocktail, mocktail, and most importantly– stories of adventure and personal passions of this world-class team. These are less formal sessions than expedition briefings, connecting you with the unique experiences these experts have had in the field, or learning how they came to be the explorers you see before you.
