Ha Long Bay is one of the world's natural wonders, with more than 1,900 islands rising out of the magnificent emerald waters. Your outing includes a scenic cruise on board a private junk, kayaking the Luon Cave area, and a succulent seafood lunch.
Start the day by boarding the private junk for a scenic cruise through the sparkling waters of Ha Long, taking in the spectacular scenery. As you sail, you’ll see hundreds of steep limestone outcroppings that have been the source of legends for centuries. At the core of the islands, there are impressive caves and grottoes.
You will stop at Hang Co Cave and wander through the underground cavern to marvel at its stalagmite and stalactite formations. This subterranean adventure is a mesmerizing experience that complements the natural beauty of the bay’s surface.
Later, your junk drops anchor and it is time to board a two-person kayak for a guided paddle in the Luon Cave area. This tranquil oasis of lush greenery and calm waters gives you the opportunity to immerse yourself in the bay while exploring the cave’s unique ecosystem and impressive limestone formations.
After working up an appetite, reboard the junk to enjoy a delicious seafood and vegetable lunch, you’ll make a stop at a fishing village (Vung Vieng village) before returning to the ship.
You’ll not only be immersed in the quiet and peaceful location viewing the charming landscape, and discovering the cultural life of the fishermen but will also be instructed in the fine arts of sailing and casting fish nets. You’ll be enchanted by the beauty of the boats, the nets slung over posts in front of the house, the simple but hospitable fishermen, and the small children smiling as they go to school. This idyllic scene shows the traditional character of a floating fishing village.
