The spectacular panoramas of the Manicouagan are best seen from aboard a double sea kayak in calm water. Trust your enthusiastic, qualified guide to provide you with an insightful interpretation of the North Coast flora and fauna, from the impressive rocky grooves forged by glaciers thousands of years ago to a wide variety of marine mammals that may choose to pop their heads above the water's surface to watch you watching them -- it's all-around fascinating for both the human and non-human participants.
Please note: Wear closed-toe shoes with rigid soles or kayak shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Bring bottled water. Bring spare warm clothes for the return. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. The kayaks are not wheelchair-accessible. Participants must walk approximately 30 yards from the parking lot to the dock where the excursion begins. Terrain includes a marine ramp from the pier to the boat, which can be very steep at low tide. Minimum age is 6 years.
