Your tour begins in Red Bay, home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and continues along the scenic coastal highway through Labrador's villages. Pass over the mighty Pinware River, known for its first-class salmon fishing.
You will make your way to the Point Amour Lighthouse, tallest lighthouse in Atlantic Canada on the edge of the Strait of Belle Isle, where you will have a photo opportunity. Continue your journey to the Quebec-Labrador border where you will once again have the opportunity for a photo - "Welcome to the Big Land."
At the Gateway to Labrador Visitor Center in L'Anse au Clair, you’ll learn more about this route and the role it has played in making life and commerce viable in Labrador. The building that houses the visitor center was the community's first church, built by volunteers in 1909 and totally restored in 1992. Indoor and outdoor exhibits display the historic, cultural and natural heritage of the Labrador Coastal Drive.
Experience a delicious traditional homecooked meal at a local restaurant. After experiencing real Labrador cuisine, make your way back to the ship in the port of Red Bay.
