Step aboard a motor launch at the pier and head to the astonishingly colorful Grotta dello Smeraldo, just a hop, skip and a jump from Amalfi. Take in the beauty of the coastline as you cruise along.
Upon arrival at the grotto, you'll board a smaller local boat and enter the 100-foot-tall natural cavern. Marvel at the way the sunlight enters the cave via an underwater opening, casting a luminescent emerald glow through the water.
Return to Amalfi, where you'll have free time to explore the main square, check out the grand cathedral and browse in the shops.
