Pearl Harbor self-guided tour:
The sights and sounds of December 7th, 1941, come alive on this visit to Pearl Harbor, where you can explore at your leisure, and you'll visit the National Memorial Cemetery. A narrated tour through downtown Honolulu includes a photo stop.
During the panoramic drive to Pearl Harbor, your tour guide sets the stage for the history of this historical attraction and points out significant places along the way.
Step inside the Pearl Harbor Visitor Center to enjoy its many exhibits, multimedia re-enactments and replicas, the Road to War Museum, the Attack Gallery and free time on the park grounds. Explore on your own or visit the USS Missouri (at your own expense; purchase your tickets online in advance). Don't miss browsing in the gift shop.
On a panoramic drive through metropolitan Honolulu, watch for highlights including Iolani Palace — the only royal palace on American soil. You'll see the Kawaiahao Church with its captivating architecture and the King Kamehameha statue, paying homage to the legendary Hawaiian king who united the islands. Your guide points out the Hawaii State Capitol, the Governor's Mansion, and quaint missionary homes.
Take a moment to experience the serenity of the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific. This cemetery, informally known as Punchbowl Cemetery, is located at Punchbowl Crater in Honolulu, Hawaii. It serves as a poignant memorial to honor both men and women who courageously served in the United States Armed Forces, as well as those who made the ultimate sacrifice.
