Day 1 (L/D)
Leave the port and transfer to Zanzibar International Airport. Connect with a light charter flight from Zanzibar to Serengeti. Approximate flying time is two hours and 30 minutes.
On arrival at Seronera airstrip, you will be met by your guides and vehicle. Met and transferred to lodge for lunch and check in. At the Four Seasons Lodge, you'll find an intimate and indulgent setting. Nestled within Serengeti National Park, it's a hideaway offering spectacular views of wildlife roaming over miles of bush and an active watering hole. After lunch depart for afternoon game drive in the Serengeti National park.
The Serengeti is arguably the most famous National Park in the world, more-or-less defining the modern safari experience. The park was established in 1951 and covers an area of almost 5,850 square miles -- an area comparable to the state of Connecticut or Northern Ireland.
The park hosts a fantastically diverse eco-system -- each part with its own resident variations of African wildlife. The primary attraction is the wildebeest migration -- an entourage of 1½ million wildebeest and hundreds of thousands of zebra, gazelle and other plains game that follow close behind. This brings the inevitable predators who make the most of the moveable feast being close at hand. The wildebeest migration happens in different sections of Serengeti national park and Maasai Mara in different seasons of the year always is subject to weather patterns.
Dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 2 & 3 (B/L/D)
Spend two full day exploring the plains of Serengeti National Park with an experienced guide on thrilling morning and afternoon game drives.
You may choose to take a picnic lunch with you and spend a full day game-viewing or return to the lodge for a hot lunch.
The Serengeti lies between the Ngorongoro Highlands, Lake Victoria and Tanzania's northern border with Kenya, and is known as one of the world's last great wildlife reserves. The name comes from the Maasai siringet, meaning 'endless plains'. The park is home to about three million large animals, most taking part in seasonal migrations unparalleled in nature. Life in the Serengeti is always action-packed.
Dinner is served at the lodge.
Day 4 (B)
Enjoy an early breakfast; then, check out and transfer to Seronera Airstrip for a scheduled light-aircraft flight to Dar Es Salaam. Upon arrival, transfer back to your Seabourn ship.
