Come ashore on Kekerten Island to see the remains of an old whaling station. The Expedition team is on hand to add content and context on a stroll along an interpretive trail.
Kekerten Island is a Territorial Park perched on Canada's unforgiving Baffin Bay. American and European sailors once plied Cumberland Sound's wildest waters in search of whales. Nowadays, this uninhabited island knows only peace. It is renowned for its wildlife, including the many bird species that draw visitors seeking trophies of a different kind — spectacular photos of unspoiled beauty and of very spoiled chicks raised in Arctic paradise.
Please note: Included Expeditions cannot be booked in advance. The ship's Expedition team will communicate finalized content and departure information. Dress warmly in layers with a windproof and waterproof outer layer; bring a warm hat, gloves and a scarf. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
