Go beyond the ordinary with a guided excursion to Boseong Green Tea Plantation, located on the southwest coast of the Korean Peninsula. One of the most scenic places in South Korea, the lush expanse of rolling hills are adorned with vibrant green tea fields, offering a tranquil escape in the heart of tea culture with breathtaking landscapes.
This plantation was established in 1957 and the temperate climate of the region is ideal for green tea cultivation. The green tea fields at Boseong are among the most famous in Korea and are a must-see attraction. The picturesque tea trees blanket the landscape like a soft green carpet. From mid- April to late May, a soft fog spreads across rolling green fields in the morning hours, creating some of the most picturesque views on the Korean Peninsula. Your guide will point out points of historical significance and look out points along the way. You’ll have some free time to take photos.
Afterward, visit the Korea Tea Museum. Korea Tea Museum is a cultural museum located in Boseong, Korea’s most famous green tea-producing region. The museum showcases the history, traditions, and culture of Korean tea through a variety of exhibitions on tea cultivation, tea ceremonies, and traditional tea lifestyles. Visitors can explore displays featuring tea-related artifacts, learn about the development of Korean tea culture.
