This spectacularly beautiful flight begins with a bird's-eye view of Hamilton Island, the four Molle Islands and Long Island. The views, best appreciated from the air, just keep getting better as you head toward the white sands of world-famous Whitehaven Beach and Hill Inlet.
Magnificent natural landmarks you'll see include the wonderful coral formations of the Great Barrier Reef – a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The tour highlight may be Heart Reef, which never fails to impress. Other sections of the reef including Hardy, Hook and Bait Reefs, as well as Hook Island and exclusive Hayman Island, which you will see before returning to Airlie Beach.
Please note: Flight time is approximately one hour. Maximum weight is 240 lbs or more (fully clothed). You must supply your weight to the Shore Excursions team on board the ship at least 48 hours prior to departure. Incorrect weight may result in guests being unable to participate; no refund will be given. Every guest is weighed at check-in. The tour operator endeavors to be discreet, but individual circumstances may not allow for complete privacy. The pilot alone decides if weather conditions are suitable for flightseeing. The pilot decides where each guest sits based on weight and balance requirements; parties may be separated. If traveling in a group, please advise the Shore Excursions team, although groups cannot be guaranteed to fly together due to weight and balance requirements. If the flight is canceled due to weather conditions, you will receive a full refund. Mobility devices of any kind cannot be brought onto the aircraft. Bags cannot be taken on the flight; a secure location is provided for storing personal items. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones, and selfie sticks or other extendable items are not permitted. For optimal photography and views, wear darker-colored clothing to reduce window reflections. Participants must be able to (dis)embark the helicopter unassisted. Wear comfortable walking shoes. Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable sunscreen. Bring bottled water.
