The waters of the Bay of Gaspé are home to eight different whale species. Set out aboard a Zodiac boat for chance to observe these giant mammals and learn about the environment in which they live. Blue whales (the largest mammals in the world), spectacular humpback whales, fin whales, minke whales, white-sided dolphins, harbor porpoises and seals are often seen seasonally.
You are surrounded by Forillon National Park at the easternmost tip of the Appalachian Mountains, known for the wild beauty of its coasts, cliffs, forests, small coves, rocky capes, fine sand beaches and geological formations. Enjoy the magnitude and majesty of this stupendous landscape.
Please note: Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc) cannot be accommodated on the transportation. Participants must be able to board the bus and the Zodiac unassisted. Terrain includes even and uneven surfaces, inclines, steps, and a marine ramp from the pier to the boat, which can be very steep at low tide. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking, as significant agility is required. Limited tourism infrastructure is part of Gaspé's charm; transportation may be more basic than in other ports (school bus or similar). Travel time to Forillon National Park is approximately 45 minutes each way. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
