Dublin, the capital of Ireland is the fourth city of Literature. No less than four Nobel Prizes for Literature have been awarded to writers associated with the city: George Bernard Shaw, W.B. Yeats, Samuel Beckett and Seamus Heaney. Other illustrious Dublin writers of international repute include Jonathan Swift, Cardinal Newman, Oscar Wilde, Sean O’Casey, Denis Johnston, Flann O’Brien, Brendan Behan and Jennifer Johnston.
In the company of your local guide, set off from the pier and drive to Dublin city center to begin your walking tour, passing many main sites. See Oscar Wilde's statue, Sweny’s Pharmacy, where a young James Joyce consulted Mr. Sweny and was described in his most famous novel, Ulysses. After passing the WB Yeats Memorial, arrive atthe Museum of Literature Ireland or MoLI as it is locally known. The museum celebrates Ireland’s world-renowned literary culture from the past to the present. Explore MoLI’s treasure trove of artistry at your own pace before rejoining your coach and guide for your return journey to port.
