Head towards the east coast of the island and stop at the James Norman Hall House. The home evokes the daily life of the famous poet and writer of American contemporary literature.
Continue to Matavai Bay, where Tahara'a Point offers a great photo opportunity. Nearby, you will find Point Venus. This is where Captain James Cook observed the transit of Venus in 1769, and the only lighthouse on the island was built here in 1867.
Lunch is served at the Gauguin Restaurant (or similar); then, continue to the Spring Garden of Vaipahi, brimming with tropical plants and trees.
Last but not least, explore the interesting Museum of Tahiti & Her Islands, located in Punaauia, on the west coast of Tahiti. The museum displays a large array of archeological finds, Polynesian artwork and costumes that tell the story of ancient Tahiti.
Upon conclusion of your tour, you will transfer to Papeete's Faa'a Airport in time for your flight.
Please note:
The tour operates primarily on paved roads; however, some road conditions may be bumpy. Guests who are pregnant or have a back or neck condition are not allowed to participate.
