Whale sightings are guaranteed on this high-speed cruise to Point Adolphus. Along the way, you will be traveling through waters that support a wide array of marine life, including orca (killer) whales, Steller sea lions, harbor seals, sea otters, porpoises and, of course, magnificent humpback whales. Keep your eyes peeled for bald eagles in the evergreen treetops lining the shore.
An on-board naturalist will describe the diversity of marine life that gathers here every summer to feed in the nutrient-rich waters fueled by Alaska's long summer days.
Please note: The tour operator guarantees that a whale will be sighted on this excursion. If not, you will receive a 100% refund from the tour operator at the conclusion of the tour. The operator has never had to pay this. Weather conditions in Southeast Alaska can change suddenly. Dress warmly in layered clothing with gloves, a scarf, and a hat; outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Tour includes standing for extended periods. Terrain includes even surfaces. Bring binoculars. This tour is designed to be accessible for all guests, including those using a wheelchair (the tour operator suggests bringing a companion to assist if needed, as guides are not allowed to push wheelchairs). Only non-ambulatory guests using a wheelchair that requires specific accommodations, such as a lift/ramp and wheelchair anchor on the transportation, can book this tour, as it ensures accessible transportation; guests using a collapsible wheelchair and able to board the coach via the steps must book Whale Watch & Marine Mammal Safari (Companion). Companions can book the same tour under the title Whale Watch & Marine Mammal Safari (Companion). The tour route avoids stairs; however, the nature of access may differ from the standards you are familiar with at home. Accessible bathrooms with wide doors are available along the tour route. An accessible vehicle with a wheelchair lift or ramp is used for transportation. The number of accessible vehicles available is extremely limited; make your accessible shore excursion reservations as far in advance as possible. Guests requiring accessible transportation, please complete the Special Services form at https://www.seabourn.com/en/us/about/accessibility; this will ensure that suitable transportation is in place for your tour.
