Join a knowledgeable guide from the Friends of the Eastwoodhill Arboretum Trust on a scenic 45-minute drive to this natural wonderland. As you approach, contrast the arid plains of Poverty Bay with the lush greenery and formal gardens that await.
During your two hours at the arboretum, you will experience a guided walk through the Homestead Garden(an easy 30-minute walk), a four-wheel-drive guided tour and light refreshments will be served during your visit. A visit to the Discovery Centre, which boasts both permanent and seasonal collections, is the perfect end to the day and an opportunity to learn more about the area's history and conservation efforts.
