Join the Expedition team for a spectacular Zodiac cruise in Skjoldungen Fjord. This U-shaped passage chokes on tidewater glaciers and huge chunks of ice calving into the frigid waters.
Rugged peaks confine narrow Skjoldungen Fjord between vertical rock walls, while serpentine rivers of ice, wrinkled by huge crevasses, race to the sea. Low dwarf birch and willow forests clad stark faces of unforgiving rock, and free-standing pillars — seracs — silhouette themselves, vying for attention in a landscape of endless prima donas.
If conditions permit, there can be landings and walks ashore.
