An incredible tour of discovery where you will experience the stunning landscapes, see and hear rare and endangered species up close and learn about these island wildlife sanctuaries.
Your experience will begin at Waitangi/Paihia Wharf where you will complete a short biosecurity check before boarding the boat and beginning your scenic cruise out to the islands, taking in the views of Waitangi and Kororareka (Russell) with commentary and information provided by our guides. Ensure you keep an eye out for marine wildlife and sea birds along the way.
Upon reaching the islands, your guide will take you on an awe-inspiring and informative journey through time providing you with a natural history of the islands.
On this trip you will discover what Project Island Song is already achieving through re-establishing native eco-systems and reintroducing rare and endangered wildlife to these seven pest-free islands. You will also hear about future reintroductions and how you have, and can continue to contribute to these island wildlife sanctuaries ensuring they are around for future generations to experience.
On conclusion of your guided walk you will board the vessel and begin your scenic return journey, enabling you the opportunity to take in these unique and beautiful islands from the water before returning to Waitangi/Paihia Wharf.
