Knossos is closely connected with the famous myth of King Minos and the Minotaur.
According to Greek mythology, King Minos ordered the construction of a labyrinth to confine the Minotaur.
The palace complex, with its numerous rooms, corridors and different levels, has traditionally been associated with the legendary labyrinth.
Your guided tour will take you through the archaeological remains, including the royal quarters, storerooms, workshops and theatre, while your guide will explain the history and mythology connected with this remarkable site.
Later, enjoy a brief stop at the main square in Heraklion before returning to the pier.
