Embark on the adventure of a lifetime with this exciting Whale Shark Adventure Tour! Guests will begin their journey with a relaxing drive along the breathtaking coast, where you'll receive an introduction to the day’s itinerary. Once you arrive at the INVESTIGATOR, a spacious whale shark vessel, the friendly crew will greet you and assist with fitting snorkels, masks, fins, and wetsuits to ensure everyone is comfortable and ready for the experience ahead.
The tour starts with a snorkeling session at one of Ningaloo Reef’s beautiful lagoon spots, where guests can explore vibrant coral gardens teeming with colorful fish, rays, and turtles. This is an ideal opportunity to practice snorkeling techniques and become familiar with the water before the main event. For those who need extra assistance, floating noodles are available, and the expert guides are always on hand to offer support.
After the snorkeling adventure, a morning tea is served while a spotter plane searches for the iconic whale sharks. Once a whale shark is located, small groups will be guided into the water for a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to swim alongside these gentle giants. These majestic creatures, which can range from 4 to 12 meters long (with some growing up to 18 meters), glide gracefully through the ocean, offering an unforgettable experience.
Following the whale shark encounters, guests will enjoy a buffet lunch while cruising through the reef, where there’s a chance to spot other incredible marine life such as manta rays, dolphins, turtles, dugongs, and even humpback whales.
As the tour winds down, guests can relax and enjoy an afternoon tea, complete with a glass of sparkling wine, while taking in the stunning coastal views.
Please note:
Shade is limited; to avoid sunburn, wear light, long clothing suitable for use as a cover-up. Bring a hat and sunglasses; wear biodegradable/reef-safe sunscreen. Tour not suitable for guests with mobility restrictions.
