This transfer by ferry to Skagway may suit you if you would like to explore on your own. It consists of a 45-minute breathtakingly beautiful ferry ride down Lynn Canal -- a fjord that connects the two northernmost towns of the Inside Passage.
Upon arrival in Skagway, it is a short walk into this town known for its gold rush-era buildings, now preserved as part of the Klondike Gold Rush National Historical Park. You will have approximately four hours in Skagway to shop and explore independently.
Please note: Participants must walk approximately 100 feet from the cruise terminal to the ferry dock. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Motorized scooters and electric wheelchairs cannot be accommodated aboard the ferry. Terrain includes a marine ramp from the pier to the boat, which can be very steep at low tide. Guide service, taxi transfers, entrance fees and lunch are not included in the transfer price. Your ferry ticket does not include the White Pass & Yukon Route Scenic Railway. Travel time to Skagway is approximately 45 minutes each way. It is your responsibility to reboard the ferry at the given return time. The return time to Haines will be advised on board the ferry. If you miss the return ferry you are pre-booked on, you must purchase a new ticket (at your own expense) for the next available departure. Unused tickets are non-refundable. The ferry is not exclusive to Seabourn guests.
