Haines is known for its wildlife and stunning natural surroundings. This small-group tour is for every type of photographer -- from those who have professional-level camera to those who primarily use their smartphone. By the end of the tour, you'll learn how to take better photos.
Your professional photography guide selects the best locations of the day to find the most dramatic light and wildlife activity. Composition tips, camera settings and how to take advantage of available light are discussed, along with some interesting advice on how to predict wildlife behavior. Tour departure times -- early in the morning or later in the afternoon -- are timed to maximize wildlife viewing and take advantage of low-angle light for the best photographs.
Bald eagles are commonly seen and, depending on the time of year, brown bears might be seen feeding on salmon spawning in the Chilkoot River. The small-group nature of this outing allows the guide to spend time with each guest, making the most of your photo experience.
Please note: Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair. Wildlife sightings are not guaranteed.
