Take your experience to the next level with a trip to the family grown Bear Creek Winery, a hidden gem where the art of winemaking meets the rugged beauty of the Last Frontier. Surrounded by stunning landscapes, this boutique winery offers a unique Alaskan wine-tasting and guided tour experience, allowing you to savor handcrafted wines and learn more about the business amid the enchanting backdrop of the Kenai Peninsula.
Start today’s excursion with a journey into the heart of Alaskan winemaking with a guided tour of the wine making process. As you make your way through the picturesque vineyards, learn more about the art of crafting small-batch wines, and what makes Bear Creek Winery so special. Of note, Bear Creek provides flavor profiles that cannot be found in grape wines alone. They source their fruit from the Alaskan community and uniquely blend grape wines with fruit wines. You’ll become curious enough that you’ll be ready to try some.
As you make your way to the tasting room, be amazed at the varietals and explanations you receive as you taste 5 of the winery’s specialty wines. Each distinguished wine is created using fruit wines from Alaskan grown fruit, so you won’t be surprised to learn they were named head winemaker for Bear Creek in 2013.
Before you leave, buy a couple bottles as a souvenir. After your tasting, you will return to sightseeing back to your ship.
Please note: The tasting and tour will be standing only. Maximum weight is 250. Max height is 6’4". Minimum age is 21. Tasting will be with standing room only.
