Elevate your visit to Icy Strait Point on the SkyGlider Mountaintop Gondola as a high-speed, 8-passenger car whisks you to new heights, and experience the wilds of Alaska from a bird’s eye view.
At sea level, walk onto the gondola car and gently glide through the forest as you ascend to the top of Hoonah Mountain. Gazing out at Glacier Bay, the ancestral homeland of the Tlingit people, and Icy Strait Point, you will see why - at 1,500 feet elevation - this location is known for its breathtaking views. Walk through the lush Tongass National Forest and experience the unspoiled Alaska wilderness or stop by the top of the ZipRider and feel the adrenaline of riders preparing to take flight. You can also enjoy a half-mile roundtrip walk to view a beautiful mountain meadow and pond. Be sure to keep your eyes open for bears, eagles, and deer!
