This unforgettable Alaskan adventure by Executive-Class De Havilland seaplane is your ticket to soar over the stunning Craig Volcanic Field. From above, you'll see ancient lava flows, forested ridges, and the rugged coastal beauty of Prince of Wales Island. Your experienced pilot narrates the geological wonders and rich natural history of the area.
The first half of your scenic flight ends with a gentle landing at one of Alaska's most iconic fishing lodges. Take a brief guided tour of the historic Waterfall Resort lodge, nestled on the site of a former 1912 Nakat Packing Company salmon cannery. Immerse yourself in the resort's charm and legacy with panoramic views of the surrounding wilderness.
To conclude this exceptional experience, reboard your seaplane for the return flight, offering a new perspective of the volcanic terrain and the untouched beauty of Southeast Alaska. Wildlife, including humpback whales, is frequently spotted around the Prince of Wales Island area. At every turn and from every angle, your window seat offers a bird's-eye view of nature's dramatic backdrop.
Please note: Carry-on items are limited. The terrain includes a marine ramp that can be very steep at low tide for boarding the seaplane. Participants must be able to climb a few steps unassisted to board the aircraft. Tour requires approximately 300 yards of walking at the lodge. Bring a rain jacket. Wear comfortable walking shoes. iPads, iPad minis, tablets, drones, and selfie sticks or other extendable items are not permitted. Carry-on baggage is limited to one small personal item per passenger. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed.
