Step aboard a purpose-built vessel to experience an awe-inspiring perspective of the massive cliffs and stunning scenery while exploring Misty Fjord National Monument. Learn about the natural and human history of this remote and beautiful wilderness area through interpretation provided by local guides and the Expedition team.
You'll stop to view a Tlingit Pictograph, and see New Eddystone Rock -- an immense volcanic spire rising from the emerald sea.
From the outdoor viewing deck, delight in Rudyerd Bay and the fjords whose near-vertical 3,000-foot cliffs create stunning landmarks such as God's Pocket and the Owl Cliffs. You'll visit a bird rookery, feel the mist of glistening waterfalls, and watch for seals, eagles and other wildlife.
Enjoy complimentary smoked salmon spread, and your choice of creamy clam chowder or vegetarian/gluten free chili. Savor a variety of included beverages, including beer, wine, coffee, hot chocolate, hot tea, sodas and bottled water. Additional snacks, cocktails, and souvenirs are available for purchase at the onboard galley gift shop.
Please note: It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing in order to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Outer layer should be waterproof and windproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat and a scarf. Wildlife sightings are likely but are not guaranteed. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair.
