Adventure awaits the seasoned angler or the complete beginner fishing for the first time. Small groups, experienced guides, fast, comfortable boats, and equal opportunity for anglers separate this fishing experience from others. World-class Pacific Ocean fishing for sought-after species, including salmon and halibut, takes place in the abundant waters of the famed spectacular scenery and calm waters of Alaska's Inside Passage.
It's "Captain's choice" for the best chance of a catch based on whatever news the day brings and what is seasonal.
Your fishing vessel has an enclosed, heated cabin, marine restroom, and a galley with tables and bench seating. The aft deck is a large fishing platform. Fishing is limited to four persons per vessel, giving ample room per angler.
It is normally a very short distance from Wrangell to the fishing grounds – a quick boat ride (usually 30 minutes or less), which ensures you will spend most of your time fishing rather than just getting there.
Please note: Enjoy Your Catch -- a Seabourn exclusive. Hook a fish on this shore excursion and bring it on board your cruise ship to savor at the dinner table. At no additional charge, your catch is deliciously prepared for you by the Seabourn culinary team at The Restaurant or The Colonnade -- a super-fresh, ocean-to-plate celebration. Your catch can be professionally processed and shipped to your home address in the U.S. for an additional fee. Minimum age is 12 years. A catch is likely but is not guaranteed. Beverages are available on board. It is essential that you wear warm, layered clothing to fully enjoy and participate in this excursion. Outer layer should be windproof and waterproof. Bring gloves, a warm hat, and a scarf. Fishing gear, tackle, and bait are provided. The Alaska Department of Fish & Game implements conservation measures to protect certain fish species; restrictions on keeping your catch may apply. Only fish species that do not have restrictions in place can be shipped home or delivered to the ship for Enjoy Your Catch. Please check directly with the Alaska Department of Fish & Game for restriction specifics for your tour date. A fishing license is required by the State of Alaska and should be purchased in advance of your tour. Children aged 15 years and younger are not required to purchase a license. All participants aged 16 and older must purchase a fishing license in advance by following these steps:
