This embarkation tour makes life easy with a pick-up from Vancouver's cruise terminal on the morning of your cruise and a transfer back to the ship well before sailing time.
Meet Seabourn's representative holding a Seabourn Pre-Cruise sign curbside at Canada Place.
Set out on a scenic, narrated drive through the bustling downtown waterfront and residential districts.
In Stanley Park, explore the magnificent 1000-acre rainforest in the heart of the downtown core. It is one of the largest urban forests in North America, and a premier Vancouver attraction. An abundance of flora and fauna call this sanctuary home. At the east tip of Stanley Park is Brockton Point, where you'll find the famed Native totem garden. Colorful, carved works of art stand proud and tall, honoring First Nations culture.
Cross the Lions Gate Bridge to the mountainous North Shore, where the city ends and the adventure begins. Walk across the 160-foot-high Lynn Canyon Suspension Bridge, spanning an incredible gorge and waterfalls, for a fantastic photo opportunity.
The drive from Stanley Park to the North Shore's Capilano River Canyon is a scenic route that unveils sweeping views of the North Shore Mountains, leading to the awe-inspiring canyon of the rushing Capilano River. Take a nature walk with interpretive commentary and hear about Pacific salmon's essential role in the ecological makeup of the region. From April through October, different species of salmon run the river to spawn. Take a 15-minute walk to the Cleveland Dam, which supplies a third of Vancouver's water and ranks among the cleanest drinking water in the world.
Walk among the giant cedars, towering Douglas fir, and mature hemlock, and find out why the western red cedar is known as the Tree of Life by the First Nations people. You also visit an ancient yew tree, of great medical significance to the First Nations.
Enjoy a gourmet snack along the way. Your tour ends back at the Cruise Ship Terminal, where you will check in for your cruise.
Please note: Waiver must be signed and medical conditions disclosed. Wear sturdy non-skid walking shoes. This tour is available only to guests embarking the ship in Vancouver. The pick-up point is curbside at Canada Place, 999 Canada Place, in front of the Cruise Ship Terminal/East Convention Centre/Pan Pacific Hotel. A representative with a Seabourn Pre-Cruise sign will be stationed at this location at 8am to register guests and check luggage. The coach departs at 8:30 am. There are no pick-up points at local hotels; if you are not staying at the Pan Pacific Hotel, you must make your own arrangements to get to the listed address with your luggage (at your own expense) a minimum of 15 minutes prior to the planned departure time, as the coach will not wait.
