Greenland is known for its unique eating habits and traditions, and our tasting experience shows that Greenlandic food can be both traditional and delicious. Our guide will meet you at the harbor and lead you to the venue where the tasting will take place. You’ll be served a tasting plate featuring Greenlandic dishes. As you enjoy the tastings, our chef will share stories about her life growing up in Qaqortoq, as well as insights into Greenlandic history and culture.
The authenticity and high quality speaks for itself. The seafood is caught locally. The lamb comes from one of the many sheep farms in the region. Enjoy local delicacies and traditional Greenlandic dishes, from dried fish to lamb and the delicacy mattak, which is blubber. You’ll also taste angelica, an aromatic vegetable abundant in Qaqortoq—keep an eye out for it when you visit the town.
This tasting journey combines treasures from the sea with the finest ingredients from South Greenland’s nature. As you explore the cuisine of Greenland, you’ll experience a blend of tradition and innovation while supporting our cultural heritage and local communities – something we are very proud of.
