Your journey begins at a local craft apple cider factory in a region blessed with well-drained slopes and dramatic temperature shifts between day and night. Learn about the meticulous cider-making process and sample its deep, complex flavors.
A delightful lunch featuring fresh, locally sourced Aomori ingredients awaits you. A food and cider pairing makes the experience unique to this region.
Next, visit the Tachineputa no Yakata pavilion to see a trio of some of the most unique parade floats ever created. Made of painted washi paper, these exquisite floats are just a part of the Goshogawara festival that occurs every August 4-8. Towering more than 72 feet tall, they weigh almost 17 tons apiece. On-site, you can learn about the profound meaning and history embedded within these creations.
