With a late afternoon arrival in Bangkok, you'll head straight to Wat Saket — one of Bangkok's oldest temples. Wat Saket is best known for its manmade hill. Indeed, the Golden Mount was once the highest point in Bangkok. Three hundred wide, paved steps make the ascent less strenuous. Along the walk are a series of bells traditionally rung for good luck, and seats for those needing to catch their breath. Atop the hill, take in spectacular panoramic sunset views over Bangkok.
Next, board a tuk-tuk — an open-air, motorized tricycle — for a ride around Bangkok's Old City.
A two-hour cruise on a chartered, re-purposed rice barge allows you to savor the cool evening breeze with a Thai dinner served as you float along the Chao Phraya River. See Bangkok's famous landmarks on the riverbanks in the soft evening light.
Reboarding the coach, you'll return to Laem Chabang.
Please note: Modest attire is required for visiting temples; shirts must be non-fitted and have sleeves. Sleeveless, tight, or see-through blouses are not permitted, even if a jacket is worn over them; trousers must be full-length to cover ankles; skirts must cover knees. Shorts, Bermuda shorts, capri pants, tight or torn trousers, leggings or miniskirts of any kind are not permitted. Terrain includes uneven surfaces, inclines, and approximately 300 steps encircling the hill at the Golden Mount. Not advisable for guests using a wheelchair or for those with mobility limitations. Mobility devices (wheelchairs, walkers, scooters, etc) cannot be accommodated on the transportation.
