Get a feel for local life as you journey north to see local markets and stone cutting district.
Travel by air-conditioned motor coach on an approx 45 minutes drive to the largest produce market in Chonburi, Nong Mon Market. Stroll along the road, lined with more than 100 stalls selling dried seafood, desserts, fruits and preserved food. Famous delicacies of the area are desserts including Khao Larm (sweet sticky rice in bamboo) and Khanom Chak (sweet coconut wrapped in palm leaf).
After a short drive, you will arrive Ang Sila, a seaside fishing village known for its granite products. The fishermen here are not only skillful in catching fish, but also making implements and crafts from granite, and have passed on their craftsmanship from generation to generation. Watch a carving demonstration, which shows how their most renowned products—pestles and mortars—are made. Perhaps you’ll purchase one for a souvenir.
Round off your tour with cool drinks at Bang Phra Golf Clubhouse before transferring back to the pier.
