First stop of the day is the Hall of Justice in Klungkung, where you can see Kamesan paintings depicting famous Hindu legends. The paintings tell stories of what will happen to law breakers!
Next stop is Besakih, the Mother Temple of Bali. The temple sits at over a thousand feet up the volcanic slopes of Gunung Agung, the islands largest mountain, and is a must see for any visitor to Bali. Besakih is Bali’s largest temple complex, and is comprised of 23 separate, but related, individual temples. The most important of these is Pura Penataran Agung, a six tiered temple which is terraced up the side of the mountain. The backdrop is impressive and if the mist rolls in you may feel as if you’re in heaven. Otherwise the view extends down to the sea and is not to be missed.
Lunch will be served at a quality restaurant where breathtaking views of Bali await. En route to the Port, stop by at Batik Village to see how the hand batik process. Finally, drive back to the Harbor
