The waters of Phang Nga Bay offer some of Asia's most spectacular scenery. Limestone monoliths soar more than 300 feet skywards from the limpid waters of the bay.
Leaving port by coach, you will journey to the island's northern tip, before boarding an open-air motor boat for a one-hour cruise. Soon you will leave the motor boat and step aboard a three-man inflatable canoe. Each canoe accommodates two guests and a paddle guide. Traveling by canoe is the only way to enter the world that is the domain of a fortunate few — passing through some sea caves, you'll enter interior lagoons (hongs) created by centuries of sea and wind action. These lagoons are open to the sky and contain mangrove forests, many of which are inhabited by monkey families whose antecedents were stranded here in ancient times when the sea level rose.
A Thai-style lunch and fresh fruit are served aboard the motor boat. For respite from the tropical heat, you will have time for a refreshing swim at an island south of Phang Nga Bay.
Please note: Wear your swimsuit under your clothing; bring a towel, reef-safe/biodegradable sunscreen, light clothing to act as a full cover-up for further protection from the sun, and a hat. Swim at your own risk. Please realistically assess your physical fitness and ability prior to booking. Maximum weight is 200 lbs. Minimum age is 6 years.
