Head to Seorak Mountain -- a designated Natural Monument and UNESCO Biosphere Reserve. Seorak means "big mountain snow" and is so named because of its year-round snow cap.
Board a cable car for the ascent to the Cheoksan Hot Springs Zone consists of geothermal pools whose soft, mineral-rich waters are great for the skin. Drinking the water is said to beautify the skin and improve blood circulation. Revel in the experience of a relaxing foot spa -- refreshing, indulgent, sublime!
Visit the Sokcho Tourist Fish Market, whose 450 stores include fish stalls in the basement and two above-ground levels selling food, clothing, snacks and local delicacies. If you have the chance, be sure to purchase some dak-gangjeong (sweet and sour chicken) — it's a delicious taste of Korea.
